Day 1 Arrive Beijing
At the arrival hall of Beijing airport, be picked up by our guide and transferred to hotel. The guide will hold a paper sign with your name on for you to recognize.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L, D)
Today you are going to witness the world wonder-the Great Wall of China. The Mutianyu Great Wall section is less crowded. A cable car takes you up to a good part, where you can walk along and enjoy the superb views as it snakes across the green mountains. A cable car or toboggan takes you down. After lunch, back downtown to visit the Temple of Heaven, where emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties visited for annual sacrifice ceremonies for good harvests. In the evening, you will have Beijing Roast Duck dinner at the famous Quanjude Restaurant.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L)
Morning visit to the two premier attractions in the city center-Tiananmen Square, symbol of Beijing and China, and Forbidden City, the majestic imperial palace of Ming and Qing dynasty emperors. Spend the afternoon in the beautiful royal garden-Summer Palace.

Day 4 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
Hotel pickup and transfer to airport; fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer to hotel for a short rest.
Visit the Bund and Nanjing Road. The Bund is the renowned waterfront of Shanghai, characteristic with the ‘architecture gallery’ of 52 well-preserved different foreign style buildings. As the busiest shopping street in Shanghai, Nanjing Road is a shopping paradise, from time-honored traditional Chinese brand stores to international designer boutiques.

Day 5 Shanghai (B, L)
Today’s activities include Oriental Pearl TV Tower, one of the tallest TV Towers in the world, known for its distinctive shape in ‘pearls’, offering great view of the city; Yuyuan Garden that is located in the center of Shanghai old quarter, a private Ming dynasty garden with beautiful scenery; Shanghai Museum, regarded by many as the best museum in China.

Day 6 Shanghai-Suzhou-Shanghai (B, L)
Hotel pickup and drive to the nearby city- the heavenly Suzhou. First, take a rickshaw ride through the old streets & Hutongs in Suzhou to see local people’s life. Then go to the Humble Administrators Garden, the best representative of Chinese classical gardens, constructed in the Ming Dynasty. Transfer to the Grand Canal which ranks only second to the Great Wall of China as the country’s greatest engineering achievement. You will take a cruise on the Canal. Back to Shanghai after the tour.

Day 7 Depart Shanghai (B)

5 Days Beijing Shanghai Tour

Detailed Itinerary:

Day 1 Arrive Beijing (L)
Be picked up by our private driver and English tour guide from airport and transferred to hotel. After a short rest in hotel, visit Temple of Heaven. Built in 1420, it is the best preserved and largest sacrificial building complex in the world, where emperors held grand prayer ceremony to heaven for good harvest.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L)
Hotel pickup and dropoff.
Visit Tiananmen Square, symbol of Beijing and China.Then we will enter the Forbidden City from the north end of Tiananmen Square. Forbidden City, also called Palace Museum was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Transfer to the beautiful royal garden-Summer Palace, the largest of its kind.

Day 3 Beijing (B, L)
Drive 1.5 hours to the famous Badaling Great Wall, the best preserved section of Great Wall. Cable car is optional to get the  top to have a bird view of the wall. Then transfer to Ming tombs, the tomb cluster of 13 Ming dynasty emperors. We will visit its ancestral tomb-Changling Tomb. Move on to the Sacred Way,  a seven-kilometer long pathway to the gate of Changling. It is flanked by statues of ancient government officials and animals.

Day 4 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
Today you will be transferred to airport to fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be greeted by local Shanghai tour guide and escorted to hotel.
After a short rest, go to visit the Yuyuan Garden, one of the best Suzhou style gardens in southern China. Then we will visit the Bund, famous waterfront characteristic with different foreign style buildings built during the city’s colonial period.

Day 5 Shanghai/Departure (B, L)
Today’s activities include Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the third tallest TV tower in the world, offering fantastic view of the city; Shanghai Museum, famed as the best national museums of China; Jade Buddha Temple, famous Buddhist temple with two delicate jade Buddha statues imported from Burma; and Nanjing Road, the first commerical street in China and the most properous shopping and entertainment area.
After the tour, be escorted to Shanghai airport for departure.

Day 1 Arrive in Beijing
Be greeted by our guide at the arrival hall of Beijing airport, and then transferred to hotel. The guide will hold your name sign for you to recognize. Free time for the rest of the day.

Day 2 Beijing (B, L)
First visit the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world, symbol of Beijing and China. Then go to the nearby imperial palace-Forbidden City, the majestic palace of 24 Chinese emperors of Ming and Qing dynasties. Have lunch and spend the afternoon in the beautiful royal garden-Summer Palace.

Day 3 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
Today we will witness the must-see attraction-the Great Wall of China. The Badaling Great Wall is the most popular section of the wall and also the best preserved one. After lunch, transfer to the Temple of Heaven, a large royal temple where Chinese emperors held grand sacrifice ceremonies to heaven for good harvest.
After the tour, be transferred to airport to take the flight to Shanghai; upon arrival, Shanghai airport to hotel transfer.

Day 4 Shanghai/Departure (B, L)
After breakfast, pick you up from your hotel and pay a visit to Yuyuan Garden. It is a private garden of a Ming dynasty official, with rockeries, pavillions, ponds and corridors. Then go to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, the tallest TV tower in Asia and the third in the world, with a height of 468 meters. Finally, visit the Bund, which is taken as a museum of world architecture for the different style foreign buildings that was built during the city’s colonial period.
Transfer to Shanghai airport for departure. End of service.

Day 1 Arrive Beijing (L)
Be met by our guide at the arrival hall of Beijing airport, and then transferred to hotel. The guide will hold your name sign for you to recognize.
After lunch, visit the two most famous attractions in the city center-Tiananmen Square and Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square is the symbolic landmark of Beijing and China and is the largest city square in the world. Forbidden City is the gorgeous imperial palace of 24 Chinese emperors in history.

Day 2 Beijing-Shanghai (B, L)
In the morning we will witness the world wonder-Great Wall. The Badaling section of Great Wall we are going to visit is the best preserved section of the Wall. In the afternoon, let’s enjoy the time in the beautiful Summer Palace royal garden, and the Olympic Green where we will have an exterior visit to the novel Bird’s Nest and Water Cube, excellent for photo fun.
After the tour, you will be transferred to Beijing train station to take the overnight soft-sleeper to Shanghai.

Day 3 Shanghai/Departure (L)

Arrive in Shanghai; Shanghai train station pickup and transfer to the Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The tower is the tallest in Asia and offers a panorama of the city. Move on the Yuyuan Garden, which represents one of the best classic Chinese gardens with beautiful garden settings. Then visit the Shanghai Museum. It is regarded as the best museum in China, a quick way to learn about Chinese history and civilization.
After the tour, send you off at Shanghai airport. End of service.
